Kolkata: North and eastern India, the markets that predominantly use mustard oil are not aware of the pungency level of the edible oil variety.
A survey conducted by NFX Digital across major mustard oil markets of North and East India reveals an information gap among consumers regarding the pungency level of
mustard oil.
Around 85% of respondents were unaware of the pungency level, while 91% of users were 'very likely' to try a mustard oil brand that provides clear information regarding it's pungency level on the packaging.
